Mount Nebo St. George Church
Located 12 km northwest of Madaba is the last climb before the Dead Sea depression. From there you look at the Jordan, the oasis of Jericho, the Judean Hills, Jerusalem and of course the Dead Sea. According to the Bible account was the place where Moses died after a glimpse of the Promised Land and in whose place they built a chapel with mosaic that still stands. It's a Greek Orthodox church built in 1896 on a former church of the sixth century Byzantine origin. Located in the center of Madaba has great attraction as a mosaic with a large map that once used to guide pilgrims to the Holy Land, which retains only one-third.

Located southeast of Madaba, are some ruins of the Byzantine world heritage site declared by UNESCO among which Byzantine tower and a church decorated with a floor of the Umayyad Age.
